Albion is available for charter from May until early September. She is available for day and weekend (or longer) charters and can carry a total of 12 passengers. A qualified and experienced skipper and mate sail the boat, but we are very keen for people to participate as assistants to the crew. However, if you just want to sit on the deck and watch the Broads go by that’s fine.
You will see lots of wildlife and being on Albion, an icon of the Broads, you will find yourself being constantly photographed and waved to. Most, but not all, charters start and end at our Ludham base. Albion, built in 1898, is a ‘black sailed trader’ and as original as we can keep her, so conditions on board are clean, functional but basic. Sailing the Broads on Albion is a very enjoyable experience and a large number of our charters are repeat bookings, so early booking is recommended.
Fees are for the period of hire of the boat with crew, not per person. Full payment is required when booking.
